We're headed back to the Book of Judges this Sunday to hear the story of Abimelech, Gideon's son. From all the magnanimous traits we admire about Gideon, his son inherited not a one of them. So what can we take from the story of this unprincipled king who often engaged in war with his own subjects? (I'm hoping to come up with an answer to that between now and Sunday!)
